GAND Standing Committee's
Executive Committee
This committee is comprised of the officers of the Board of Directors.
By-Laws Committee
Review and Update as needed the By-Laws and present these recommendations to the Board. Meetings are at least once a year but can be more dependent upon the workload of changing the bylaws.
Education Committee
This committee plans the Annual Fall Educational Conference. They will meet to pick venues, speakers, and plan a successful conference in a timely manner. Must be available to meet frequently during the planning months.
Nominating Committee
Meet to determine vacancies on the Board and recruit to find Board members who would be good fits for the Board. Nominations will be submitted during the annual meeting. Meetings are less frequent but will require more time closer to the Annual Conference.
Standards and Legislation Committee
This committee is responsible for the monitoring and tracking of legislation affecting Guardianship primarily on the state level but not excluding the national level. They will meet very frequently during legislative sessions, and depending on studies/guardian updates, they will meet less frequently during the interim.
Finance Committee
This committee oversees planning and operating the budget. They will set prices and fundraising opportunities to increase revenue and plan a budget to oversee the revenue. This committee will meet simi frequently.
Membership Committee
This committee will recruit and maintain membership and keep it engaged with the association. They will be involved and reach out to members to see what needs or wants our members want from the organization. This committee will meet frequently at first to establish its structure, but then will meet infrequently based upon need.
